  I live right by this Sonic, so I've visited it several times. When the order is correct, the food is great. My husband and I especially like their breakfast sandwiches. However it's happened more than a few times now where we'll get an order so incorrect you have to wonder if they just picked a bunch of stuff to make from the menu for funsies, and then gave it to us. The car hops are usually polite, but something that irks me is that several of them hang around the car for a long moment after delivering the orders, which makes me feel like they're expecting a tip. I've done a ton of googling, and have asked friends that work in the service industry, and they've almost all indicated that you don't need to tip at Sonic- and I feel that's correct. Unlike a traditional restaurant where you're expected to tip, the car hops don't refill my drink or bus my table. I order, they bring it out, and then I leave. I don't tip at McDonald's or Burger King, so it makes so sense that I should tip at Sonic.
